Hooray For Us!

I want to mark this day for all time (as long as facebook exists, doesn't get hacked, and still shows the memories.)  I did something this week all by myself, that I never thought I could do, certainly not without help, and I was sooooo scared to try that I kept pushing it off.  But Sunday morning, I ripped the bandaid and finally did it this is week, and today, while not the end, seems like a great point to brag and praise myself and be super proud of me - and of Hodayah.  Today, I gave Hodayah underpants, after 3 days of her successfully going to the bathroom, first with a timer, and then by herself without any prompting from me.
I am so super proud of us.  I'm proud of her for being patient and trying and learning and doing a great job and being such a big girl.  And I'm super proud of me for conquering what seemed impossible and doing so well at it.  And the next time I'm scared to try something, this will be another milestone I can look at and be proud and say "I potty trained my daughter.  I can do this too."  Hooray for us!

Privacy

I've decided to potty train Hodayah this week, bc what else would I be doing with all this free time?  Of course, Hodayah wants privacy when she goes to the bathroom, bc that's all I keep telling her I ever want.  Here's how that went:
Hodayah: "Mommy, get out."
Me: "Hodayah.  What's a nicer way to say that?"
Hodayah: "Mommy, please, may you get out?"

More Toes

Today's gem from Hodayah:
Hodayah (in reference to my toe nail polish color):. Mommy can you change this color to red and blue and pink and yellow and brown and purple?
Me:. That's a lot of colors.  I don't think I have enough toes!
Hodayah:. Ok.  I'll buy you more toes.

Perfect!

Surprise!

Today's show and tell was for a word starting with the letter ה and of course my kid's video was the best one.
