First day of school, for real this time

I've never done this before, but we can't be left out! Thanks #ansheilubavitch ! We're so excited!

P.s. by "This is my 2nd year" on my daughter's poster in her pictures, I mean my kids went for 2 months when we moved in January. Then everything shut down. Then, they went for 2 months to camp there. Then, they had 2 weeks off. So really, they've been there a total of 4 months and this is their 2nd trimester. But I didn't want to ruin the poster.

P.p.s. Hillelly didn't even get a poster. Such a second child. But look how handsome he is with his new haircut!

Thankful

Today I'm feeling very thankful. I certainly have a lot I could complain about (lost my job in May, our upstairs AC died, then our downstairs AC stopped working, etc). But I put my son to nap and I played with my daughter in our backyard and then I went inside to make lunch while my daughter stayed outside and I was able to watch her through the window. In that moment, watching her and talking to her through the window, I just felt so calm and peaceful and thankful and like This is it. This is the best. And then my daughter called out to me, "Mommy, I love you!" and that was it. I melted. Today was a great day.

WhoNeedsALastName

Writing my daughter's last name on thank you cards is really just a waste of ink.  Maybe I should save that ink for writing my son's last name.

Toilet Paper

I have always Always supported loading the toilet paper so that the next sheet is down the front.  But when my 15 month old son started swatting at it and spinning it, and he thinks it's the most fun game, I realized that having the next sheet down the back works out better for everyone.
