This pup's gonna fly!

When camp has dress up day every Friday, and you don't really own costumes, you improvise.  This is Skye (her favorite character).  I think we did a pretty good job.  "This pup's gonna fly!"

Family Lineage, Part III

Yesterday, Hodayah went into my bins of baby stuff and found some hospital blankets and some bibs. This morning, we had an interesting conversation:

Hodayah: Today is my babies' birthdays!
Me: Today?! How old are they??
Hodayah: 1!
Me: This is their first birthday??
Hodayah: Yep. And they came out of their daddy's tummy - [and she points to her brother] Hillelly!
Me: Hillelly is the father?? I gotta write this down.

Then...

Hodayah: There's a baby in my tummy too!
Me: When is it coming out?
Hodayah: Tomorrow!
Me: Tomorrow?!?!
Hodayah: It's a brother for my babies. And then after tomorrow, it's gonna be His birthday! I'm gonna get my baby super fast tomorrow.

Mama is

Hillelly just said "Dat's Mama and Abba.  Abba is beautiful.  And mama is...". And that's where he ended his thought.  Thanks kid.

Family Tree - Part II

Follow up to a previous post, Family Lineage with Hodayah, part II:

H: Mommy was in Abba's tummy, I was in mommy's tummy, and Hillelly was in my tummy!
Me: I need to write this all down!

Family Tree

Family lineage with Hodayah:
H: I was in your tummy, right?
Me: Yep.
H: and Hillelly was in Abba's tummy, right?
Me: No silly billy.  Hillelly was also in mommy's tummy.
H: and Abba was in your tummy, right?

🤦‍♀️ I mean...I am older than he is...but no.

Joke's on You!

Hodayah likes to get into my seat in the car and press all the buttons and turn on everything she can get her hands on.  She also likes to fool around instead of getting out of the car.  One day, she climbed over the seats and got herself into the trunk.  (I have an SUV).  I thought "great!  Get out that way!  Just get out of the car!"  So I popped the trunk with my key.  She was so stunned so I had some fun with it and said "Hodayah!  What did you do?!?!"  The confusion and curiosity on her face was priceless!  That was a great day.

Actual conversations with my children: 1. One Shabbat, Moshe, Hodayah, and Hillel all had crumpled balls of foil and were planning to ambus...
