My very own Sukkah

Tonight, I helped (watched) Moshe build our Sukkah.  In the moment, it wasn't so special bc the screws were rusty and we couldn't figure out why there's an extra pole, etc.  But now that we're done (minus schach and decorations), it's so special to be able to have our very own Sukkah for the first time in my whole life.  My daughter is gonna flip when she sees it in the morning.  I can't wait to celebrate Sukkot with our children in our own home \ driveway.

Boogie Woogie

Today, Hodayah taught me that Yaakov was hiding from Hashem in a whale.  (I think that's what she said).  And the way he got out was that the whale sneezed and everything came out.
That is quite the booger!

Shark Tank Idea

Yesterday's gem from Hodayah:
(Not exactly word for word, but I tried my darnedest to remember it!)
"Mommy, can you buy me a Minnie Mouse blanket?  Should we do that?  And it can have a button that you press that makes the noise from the shofar.  Should we do that?!  Is that a good idea??"

Soooo....you think they sell that on Amazon?

New Shrews

Talking about getting my son shoes, my daughter said "everyone has their own shrews".

Livin on a Prayer

Following my previous post, my daughter was doing a puzzle with me on Shabbat, and every time she fit a new piece in, she said "We're half way there...we're halfway there..."  So of course I responded the only appropriate response, "Whooooooa, livin' on a prayer!"

Teeeeell Me Why!

When your 3.5 year old daughter keeps saying "Mommy, tell me why.", the only appropriate answer is "Ain't nothin' but a heartache".

First day of school, for real this time

I've never done this before, but we can't be left out! Thanks #ansheilubavitch ! We're so excited!

P.s. by "This is my 2nd year" on my daughter's poster in her pictures, I mean my kids went for 2 months when we moved in January. Then everything shut down. Then, they went for 2 months to camp there. Then, they had 2 weeks off. So really, they've been there a total of 4 months and this is their 2nd trimester. But I didn't want to ruin the poster.

P.p.s. Hillelly didn't even get a poster. Such a second child. But look how handsome he is with his new haircut!

Foil Balls

Actual conversations with my children: 1. One Shabbat, Moshe, Hodayah, and Hillel all had crumpled balls of foil and were planning to ambus...
